The Meliponary

The Atlante Meliponary is located in the heart of the Atlantic Forest, in the municipality of Paraty-RJ. It is a sustainable initiative of the Universal White Brotherhood of Archangel Michael (FBUAM), a non-profit organization responsible for the São Roque Farm. The Meliponary aims to maintain the farm and the entire Atlantic Forest biome in which it is situated.

In the Meliponary, native Brazilian bees, known as stingless indigenous bees of various species typical of the Atlantic Forest region, are cultivated and protected.

Our honey production management respects the appropriate climate characteristics for harvesting, according to the natural behavior of each species.
